Beach Air Plant Display
Our unique beach air plant displays welcome a coastal feel inside your home. Each piece is similar but can vary in looks (see other photos) as it is made with natural driftwood. We collect our sea glass and driftwood on our local beaches of Southern California and clean each piece with care. We then carefully select a healthy air plant to place inside the sea shell. The display is weather resistant and easy to take care of.
We recommend removing the air plant from the shell to water it by misting or soaking. If misted inside the shell water could sit in the shell which is unhealthy for the air plant. For this particular piece we recommend misting 3-5 times per week or soak for a half hour 1-2 times per week. Place in bright indirect sunlight or next to a bright full spectrum lamp.
• Air plant and air plant care instructions included!
• Over time your air plants may naturally root to the driftwood and will grow larger and even bloom with a striking display of flowers.
PLEASE NOTE: Your air plant will be chosen at random depending on availability. However if you would like a particular plant shown in a photo please contact us to see if it is available.
Approximately 9″ L x 2″ W x 3″ H (does not include plant height)

New To Air Plants? Learn More!
What are air plants? Their technical name is Tillandsia and they are one of the few plants out there that don’t require dirt to thrive. They are epiphytes which means they use their roots as grabbers to attach to trees and rocks instead of using them in the dirt. Some air plant species actually do use their roots in dirt but there aren’t too many like that. Air plants receive nutrients through their leaves by way of tiny little trichomes. Water and air both can have the nutrients they need to thrive and grow bigger. Air plants are very slow growing compared to most other plants and you might not see any noticeable growth for a year or two! Air plants are also related to the more commonly known bromeliad which you will see quite often at nurseries or grocery stores.
